Born and raised around Zürich, Switzerland, Elias now lives in Brooklyn, NY. As a young man he dropped out of school to unwittingly experience the world of underpaid jobs and temporary contracts. After learning every detail of the "dishwasher 2000 deluxe edition" it was time to move on.

He landed his first gig as a PA at a commercial production company in '06. In '08 he talked his producer into letting him write/direct his first commercial, a big budget spot for the Locarno Filmfestival, which was awarded with the Golden Prize at the Swiss Commercial Awards. Somewhere in the midst of all of this he found the love of life and moved to NYC, where he's currently writing/directing and exploring the idea of the American Dream.
